ASHAD BOTANIX is a distiller of therapeutic grade essential oils. The company has been fortunate to have been founded and grown in Moroni, the capital city of Comoros.
Comoros are a group of volcanic islands in the Mozambique Channel on the East African Coast. Grand Comore, Anjouan, and Moheli are iland which have a countryside ranging from steep mountains to low hills. The highest point is Le Karthale, an active volcano at 2360 meters which is in Grand Comore.
You would experience great pleasure if you gazed at this region from the heights of hills. These are not just volcanic Islands but are a picture painted by nature.
Ylang trees, Vanilla and Clove trees enjoy a pivotal place amongst all things that embody the regions fine heritage.
ASHAD BOTANIX C.E.O. Monsieur Ashad Choudhry has worked in different countries on the East African Coast and has developed essential oil distilleries in Anjouan Comoros, Kenya, and Tanzania. He has encouraged community based projects and is encouraging farmers to develop and practice ecological agriculture.
By developing community based projects and emphasizing on ecological agriculture, farming communities are taught ecological agriculture, which is highly sustainable. It can regenerate and refertilise the damaged agricultural soils and this will allow us to continue producing food.
Where as in conventional method the agriculture degrades along with depletes the soil. The progress made in agriculture in the last decade has come with enormous social and environmental cost. The usage of multifunctional trees and right mix of plant specie maintain soil fertility. By mixing Ylang Ylang fields with Clove, Banana, Vanilla and Nutmeg, farmers can generate an income in all seasons.
